Wildlife-Friendly Gardens for Schools
Audience: Formal and Informal Educators, K - 12
Date: March 21, 2015, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Workshop Cost: $25
Outdoor classrooms provide endless learning opportunities across the curriculum. Join us to find out how simple it can be to start a school garden and incorporate natural lessons to meet state curriculum guidelines. Participants will receive basic supplies. Lunch will be provided. SCECHs will be available for an additional fee.
Growing Up WILD, Project Learning Tree Early Childhood
Audience: Formal and Informal Educators, Pre-K- 3
Date: May 9, 2015
Growing Up WILD and PLT EC: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., $45
Growing Up WILD only: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $30 / PLT EC only: 1 to 5 p.m., $25
Growing Up WILD and Project Learning Tree: Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood are early childhood education programs that build on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Lunch will be provided for all day attendees. SCECHs will be available to all-day participants for an additional fee.
