Classroom field trip programs are held indoors in a climate-controlled setting and are accessible for participants of all abilities. Programs are offered year-round and last approximately 45 minutes. Scout Quest - Available (Sat. 9 Mar, 2013 10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Meet badge requirements by visiting the Detroit Zoo! Bring your group and choose one of our daytime adventures. Most programs meet all requirements for the described program. Group minimum is 10, maximum is 50. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend at the same cost as the scouts. Group reservations to the Zoo need to be secured by calling (248) 541-5717 ext. 3800 at least two weeks prior to your visit.

Wild Winter Safari Social (Sat. 9 Mar, 2013 11:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Beat the winter blues this season during our Wild Winter Weekends at the Detroit Zoo. Wild Winter is a unique, fun way to experience the magic of the Zoo in winter. Enjoy your favorite habitats indoors and out along with special activities, including children’s music, zookeeper talks, crafts and much more. Wild Winter festivities will be on select weekends in January, February and March, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Escape the winter “blahs” with hot drinks and cool treats at Wild Winter Safari Social March 9 and 10, 2013. Ice cream and hot cocoa will be available for purchase at a discount. Animal arts and crafts, face painting, animal enrichment activities, talks by the Zoo’s expert keepers and a winter safari scavenger hunt add to the fun. All activities are free with Zoo admission and take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ford Education Center
