What: A spectacular, creatively wild, 21-and-older annual fundraising gala supporting the Zoo's future wolf habitat.

Please join the Detroit Zoological Society and co-chairs Ashley Crain and Kelle Ilitch for our spectacular, annual 21-and-older fundraising gala Sunset at the Zoo Howling at the Moon, presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions. Sunset will offer a howling good time complete with celestial cuisine, divine drinks, astronomical acts by Detroit Flyhouse, mystical entertainment, dancing in the moonlight to The Jerry Ross Band, plus the chance to win “zoonique” prizes.

Sunset at the Zoo is not just a great party – it raises critical funds to support the Detroit Zoological Society and our mission of Celebrating and Saving Wildlife.

2013 Sunset "Boardwalk Bash" Highlights

 

Guests will enjoy:

• A superb strolling supper and dessert reception offering tastes of signature dishes from more than 40 of metro Detroit’s best restaurants
• A champagne welcome and hosted bar featuring zoo-themed martinis and specialty drinks
• Mystical entertainment, astronomical acts by the Detroit Flyhouse and live music from The Jerry Ross Band
• Sunset Keys, a Silent Auction and a magnificent Live Auction featuring exquisite merchandise and “zoonique” experiences
• Exclusive access to the Detroit Zoo’s award-winning habitats at twilight

Sunset at the Zoo is a rain-or-shine event. Sunset tickets are non-refundable. Attire is summer chic.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older. The Zoo reserves the right to request ID at the door.

The Zoo will close to the public at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 13, in preparation for Sunset at the Zoo.
