Amur Tiger

(Panthera tigris altaica)

Amur tigers are the largest members of the cat family. They are known for their mostly orange fur and the black stripes with white markings on their ears, abdomens, paws and faces. Two Amur tigers call the Detroit Zoo’s Devereaux Tiger Forest home — Nikolai, born in 2017, and Ameliya, who joined the habitat in 2021.
