Bison

(Bison bison)

Bison are the largest mammals in North America and have bulky heads, stocky necks, large shoulder humps, and short, upward-curving horns. Male Takoda and female Teetonka were born in 2007 and arrived at the Zoo in 2008. Females Willow and Juniper were born in 2022 and joined the herd in 2023.
