Chinstrap Penguin

(Pygoscelis antarcticus)

The Detroit Zoo is home to more than 80 penguins of five different species, including chinstraps. Named for the distinctive black line of feathers that extends from cheek to cheek, chinstrap penguins are native to islands along the southern Pacific and Antarctic oceans.
