Eastern White-Bearded Wildebeest

(Connochaetes taurinus albojubatus)

Wildebeests are known for their white beards, silvery-blue coats, long black tails and cow-like horns. Male eastern white-bearded wildebeests Lenny and Jeffery, born in July 2017, moved to the Detroit Zoo in June 2018. They share a habitat with the Grevy’s zebras.
