Scarlet Ibis

(Eudocimus ruber)

Scarlet ibises are one of the species living in the Matilda R. Wilson Free-Flight Aviary, where the birds are free to walk, fly or swim in a warm and enriching environment. Scarlet ibises have long, curved beaks and scarlet red plumage with black wing tips, though some ibis bodies are more orange or pink in color.
