Day at The Zoo
The Day at the Zoo (DATZ) program provides an opportunity for students to experience the Detroit Zoo by awarding financial assistance to classrooms where funds may be limited. Made possible by generous donors, including those who have contributed to the David K. Page Fund, school groups awarded funding through the DATZ program will receive one virtual educational program and a classroom set of age-appropriate books for pre-K and elementary groups. Or funding may be used toward one in-person educational program that includes admission and a transportation stipend.
Funding cannot be guaranteed and is limited.
Day at the Zoo
Day at the Zoo applications must be submitted by the classroom teacher and only for students they directly instruct. Please encourage partner teachers to apply separately. September applicants must use their funding for an educational program in October or November 2023. January applicants must use their funding for an educational program in February or March 2024.
