
When the Zoo Feels Like Home
Dream Night at the Detroit Zoo, presented by Michigan Educational Credit Union, is a private, cost-free evening created exclusively for families of children living with chronic or terminal illnesses and/or disabilities.
With thoughtful accommodations and sensory-friendly experiences throughout the Zoo, this after-hours event invites families to explore, connect and unwind in a space designed entirely for their comfort and joy.

What to Expect
- Dinner provided for all registered guests
- Zookeeper chats and hands-on education stations
- Silent disco
- Sensory-friendly activities and designated quiet areas
- Wheelchair-accessible paths and on-site support services
- All rides and attractions, including our Dragon Forest walk-through trail



Dream Night 2025 Registration
Registration for Dream Night 2025 is limited to 1,000 families. If you’re unable to secure a spot, please look out for other inclusive events and programs, including our monthly Sensory-Friendly Hours, hosted by the Zoo throughout the year.
