A Day at the Zoo, Just for You

Join us for a day dedicated to connection, discovery and community. Senior Day at the Detroit Zoo welcomes individuals 62 and older from Macomb, Oakland or Wayne county — along with one adult guest — for a memorable day of experiences, all at no cost.

What to Expect 

  •  Bingo tent with fun prizes
  •  Live entertainment from Harmony United Chorus and Tom Katz Square Dance Club
  •  Senior Resource Area with engaging programming
  • Animal engagements hosted by our animal care staff
  • Relaxing, informational tram tours across 125 scenic acres  

Admission Details

Tri-county residents (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties) ages 62 and older, plus one adult guest, receive free admission and parking. No ticket or reservation is required. All other guests must purchase regular Zoo admission.
