Spooky Spirits

To support the highest level of well-being, animals living at the Detroit Zoo choose where to spend time within their habitats. This includes both their indoor and outdoor living spaces, as well as parts of their habitats that are hidden from public view. While habitats will be open for this event, animals may choose to be out of sight. We appreciate your understanding and support of our goal to provide the best possible care for the animals who call the Detroit Zoo home. 

DD General Admission and DD VIP ticket holders are not permitted to consume alcohol at the event.
All attendees must be 21 or older; photo ID is required. Parking is $8 per vehicle for all attendees.
*VIP food options close at 8:30 p.m.

Costume Guidelines: 

While we encourage you to have fun with your costumes during Fall Fest events at the Detroit Zoo, we are devoted to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, staff and animals. The Detroit Zoo prohibits the following:

• Sharp or pointed objects/materials that may accidentally harm another Guest
• Toy weapons including, but not limited to, guns, swords and knives
• Animal costumes with full face masks
• Balloons, frisbees, sports balls, bouncy balls or other similar types of balls. 
• Costumes depicting hate speech, violence or political messaging

 Guests with costumes containing any of the criteria listed above will be required to leave items in the car or alter their costume to adhere to the safety guidelines.
