Please remember that drinking and driving is dangerous to all. For your safety and convenience, you are welcome to leave your vehicle at the Detroit Zoo overnight for pickup tomorrow.
For guests wanting to use a rideshare app tonight, please set your pickup location to 25001 Woodward Ave. Your driver will be directed into the Woodward lot outside the main entrance near the Polk Penguin Conservation Center.

How does Summer Sips support the DZS mission?
By attending events hosted by the Detroit Zoo, you are directly supporting the DZS mission of creating meaningful connections between people, animals and the natural world so all can thrive. Your event admission provides support so that DZS can continue to demonstrate extraordinary leadership in conservation, animal welfare, education and environmental sustainability.
To support the highest level of well-being, animals living at the Detroit Zoo choose where to spend time within their habitats. This includes both their indoor and outdoor living spaces, as well as parts of their habitats that are hidden from public view. While habitats will be open for this event, animals may choose to be out of sight. We appreciate your understanding and support of our goal to provide the best possible care for the animals who call the Detroit Zoo home.
All attendees must be 21 or older; photo ID is required. Parking is $8 per vehicle for non-member attendees.

This year’s Summer Sips highlights the Great Lakes piping plover!
We partner with a federal recovery program to protect these tiny shorebirds from extinction. At the event, you can taste the exclusive Piping Plover Lager from Griffin Claw Brewing Company and learn how you can help these feathered friends thrive.
