This immersive walk-through experience takes you along a trail teeming with lifelike, animatronic dinosaurs. From a towering Brachiosaurus to a massive T. rex, Dinosauria promises thrills at every twist and turn.

How does Dinosauria support the Detroit Zoological Society’s (DZS) Mission?

The DZS is committed to accommodating individuals with diverse needs and learning abilities. We aim to support guests of all abilities during their visit in an effort to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible.

During your Dinosauria adventure, there will be fog, intermittent loud sounds, water features and smells. The dinosaurs’ animatronic movements are life-like and sometimes sudden. Educational engagement is hands-on, and the area may become crowded at times.

What is the Dinosauria trail like?

The 0.15 mile trail is tightly packed gravel. There are some slight grade changes and some surface changes along the trail.
