How Does Senior Day Support the Detroit Zoological Society (DZS) Mission?

The DZS is devoted to inspiring our diverse community with engaging, meaningful and memorable experiences and equitable opportunities that encourage the appreciation and stewardship of nature. Senior Day helps to support the community by providing a space to learn about local resources and connect with the animals who call the Detroit Zoo home.

At the Detroit Zoo, animals have the freedom to decide where they want to spend time within their habitats — whether indoors, outdoors or in hidden areas. Although habitats will be open during your visit, some animals may choose to stay out of sight. Thank you for understanding and supporting our commitment to providing the highest level of care for the animals at the Zoo.
