dETROIT ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY 

 The Detroit Zoological Society is home to more than 2,100 animals of 230 species, and hosts more than 1 million guests each year. Caring for that many animals and guests takes a dedicated team of more than 200 full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff.  Each job requires a certain set of skills and knowledge, and a lot of dedication, to ensure the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center are running smoothly, the animals who call the Zoo home are well cared for, and the guests have a fun and memorable visit. 

Course Description 

The Detroit Zoological Society's course on career paths at the Detroit Zoological Society (DZS) consists of five units, each with four modules, that should take approximately five hours to complete. 

Learners will explore and practice skills required for different positions around the organization.
