Charity Walks
Host your charity walk at the Detroit Zoo
You and your guests will have exclusive access to the Detroit Zoo before it opens to the public.
Walks must begin before the Zoo opens to the public. Walks can be scheduled April-October.
- 1-500 participants – $5,000
- Each additional guest over 500 – $11 each
- 1-1,000 participants – $8,500
- Each additional guest over 1,000 – $10 each
Walks have exclusive Zoo rental until 9 a.m. (excluding building exhibits). The rental fee includes admission to the Zoo before 9:30 a.m. (after 9:30 a.m. general pricing applies), parking, and a covered, outdoor venue. All staff, participants, and volunteers over the age of 2 require a ticket. Tickets are valid for the day of the event only and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Access to the Zoo is available at 6 a.m. for set-up, volunteer arrival and registration. Fees for catering services and rented equipment are additional. Prepared food is not permitted for any event.
