The Detroit Zoo is a cherished part of our lives, our children’s lives and our grandchildren’s lives. Visits to the Zoo are often some of our fondest memories. Now, you have the chance to transform those memories into something truly special.

The Detroit Zoo Tribute Program offers a variety of options for the perfect gift to commemorate someone or something special in your life.

Brick Pavers

Nature Paver

Participate in our Pathway Program and purchase a nature paver.

$500 for 8×8” paver
$450 for Zoo and Renaissance Circle members
Inscription area – 6 lines with a maximum of 15 characters per line – including spaces.
Order 8 x 8 Paver

$200 for 4×8” paver
$180 for Zoo and Renaissance Circle members
Inscription area has a max of 3 lines and 15 characters per line – including spaces.

Clip art is available, but it does count as one full line of text. Please contact arichards@dzs.org for information. Once you complete your order, you will receive confirmation in the mail. Placement confirmation with locator map will be mailed upon completion of paver installation.

Placement is determined by Detroit Zoological Society staff and the paver cannot be moved once placed. Installation dates are contingent upon weather. Nature pavers are installed twice a year. The deadline is March 15 for spring placement and August 15 for fall placement.

If you have previously purchased a paver that is faded or unreadable a new one can be ordered for $35.  Please call (248) 336-5729 for more information.

Your gift includes the planting, care and maintenance of a tree and recognition plaque.  The type of tree and its location will be mutually agreed upon between Detroit Zoological Society (DZS) staff and the donor.  Trees will be maintained by DZS staff and will be replaced when necessary.

Memorial Theatre Seats

Theater seats are located in the 4-D Theater in the Ford Education Center.  Choose the location of your seat (based on availability).  A brass recognition plaque will be placed on your theater seat.
