EXPERIENCE

BINC Brigade

Volunteers play an integral role in bringing the wilds of Michigan to the heart of Detroit at the Nature Center. Volunteers assist the staff with projects, greet visitors and assist with field trip groups. They also answer questions about the frogs, salamanders, turtles, bees and fish who live in the facility.

The Detroit Zoological Society volunteer application process will resume in Spring of 2026

If you are interested in supporting our special events – 21 Plus, Run Wild, Zoo Boo or Wild Lights you may email volunteer@dzs.org.
