What’s more special than time at the Zoo? Volunteering for our special events. The Zoo hosts several yearly special, educational and community events — and your support can make them even more special.

- Training and shifts vary by assignment

Zoo Boo
Zoo Boo is a safe, family-friendly Halloween celebration for kids of all ages. Throughout the month of October, we will be decorating the park each weekend in celebration of the spooky season! From trick-or-treating to themed photo opportunities, the fun never ends!

Ready for a night out on the town? Support the wildest cocktail hour around at Zoo Brew, Summer Sips, Spooky Spirits or Polar Beers!

Run Wild
Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo raises critical funds for the Ruth Roby Glancy Animal Health Complex and helps us provide outstanding veterinary care for the animals at the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center.

Light up the night at Wild Lights and support our annual holiday display featuring millions of twinkling lights!
