Panamanian Golden Frog

(Atelopus zeteki)

Renowned for its vibrant hues and unique markings, the Panamanian golden frog's survival hinges on captive breeding, with the Detroit Zoo at the forefront. As custodians of an "assurance population," we seek to reintroduce these frogs to Panama's habitat. Teaming up with local universities, we help produce crucial research to inform decisions on reintroduction timing and location.
