Thank you for renewing your Zoo! Voters in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties approved the Detroit Zoo millage renewal.

Ring-Tailed Lemur

(Lemur catta)

Five rescued ring-tailed lemurs called the Detroit Zoo home. Molly moved to the Zoo in 2010 after she was confiscated from an exotic animal dealer in Texas. Her sons, Fajiry and Dallas, were born at the Zoo in July of that year. Male Warren was confiscated from a private owner in Warren, Michigan, in July 2014. Rounding out the troop is male Remy, who was rescued in 2015 by the California Fish and Wildlife Service. He arrived at the Detroit Zoo in 2016.
