The Zoo is closed today, July 4, due to power outages. All animals and staff are safe. We expect to reopen July 5 at 9 a.m. Tickets are valid for a future date through 12/31/26.

Speckled Mousebird

(Colius striatus)

Speckled mousebirds have brown bodies and long, pale brown tail feathers. The outer toes on a speckled mousebird are reversible, which gives them the versatility to hang upside down and climb tree trunks.
