Amazing Adaptations
Join us as we unravel the secrets of nocturnal survival. Explore the Zoo, hoping to encounter some of the Zoo’s resident nocturnal animals like aardvarks, bats and beavers. From investigating these animals’ remarkable adaptations to participating in a community science project dedicated to bat conservation, every moment promises excitement and discovery. Recommended for grades 2-5.
Predator Prowl
Join us as we embark on a thrilling hike through the Zoo, where there is potential to see some of the Zoo’s resident predator species. As we prowl the Zoo, prepare to dive deep into the mysteries of the food chain as we dissect owl pellets, unraveling the secrets of these silent nocturnal hunters and their vital role in the delicate balance of nature. With every discovery, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the intricate web of life that sustains our planet. Recommended for grades 3-6.
Conservation Quest
Get ready for an adrenaline-charged adventure as teams embark on an exhilarating quest through the Zoo, putting their wildlife knowledge and puzzle-solving skills to the ultimate test! Prepare to dive into a high-stakes race against time, where every clue uncovered brings us one step closer to saving an endangered species from the brink of extinction. Afterward, we will unwind and share stories of our epic journey around the campfire. Recommended for grades 6-8.
