Yoga feels a lot more fun when you’re sharing the space with animals.
Winter Yoga at the Zoo takes place inside several of the Zoo’s indoor spaces — worlds away from Michigan weather. Classes are held on select winter mornings and evenings and guided by certified instructors.
Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to the mat, this unique experience is for you. Throw on some comfy clothes, grab your mat and a reusable water bottle, and connect more deeply with your inner self — and the natural world.

At the Detroit Zoo, animals have the freedom to decide where they want to spend time within their habitats — whether indoors, outdoors or in hidden areas. Although habitats will be open during your visit, some animals may choose to stay out of sight. Thank you for understanding and supporting our commitment to providing the highest level of care for the animals at the Zoo.
Yoga sessions are coed and limited to guests ages 13 years and older. Guests under the age of 18 require parental consent to participate. Guests must be at least 16 years old to attend without a parent or guardian.
Yoga at the Zoo is a rain or shine event. All locations are subject to change.
