On Zoo Boo dates (Oct. 3-4, 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25), regular Zoo hours are 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The Zoo will reopen from 3-8:30 p.m. for the event. A separate Zoo Boo ticket is required.

Revel in a private, educational, zookeeper-led tour of the Holden Reptile Conservation Center. You and your guests will learn about the turtles, snakes and lizards who call the Zoo home – and even watch one of them enjoy a hearty meal. This experience is not for the faint of heart!

  • Reservations must be made three weeks in advance
  • There will be no direct animal contact
  • Groups limited to five participants
  • Children must be 8 or older and accompanied by an adult
  • Groups will receive a tour of the Holden Reptile Conservation Center and learn about the reptiles residing at the Detroit Zoo.
  • Groups will also witness one of our larger reptilian species enjoy a hearty meal.
