Summer Teacher Institute
Elementary teachers are invited to a four-day workshop to enhance their existing science curriculum. Hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences will address Next Generation Science Standards and move students from knowing to understanding.
Applications for the 2025 Summer Teacher Institute are now closed. Information for summer professional development opportunities will be available in spring 2026.
Humane Education Workshops
The world becomes what we teach! Humane education is an approach to education that prepares students to take action to help people, animals, and the environment. On a regular basis, the DZS Berman Academy for Humane Education hosts humane education workshops by the Institute for Humane Education, Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers, and other experts in the field. Our hybrid, multiple workshop course will support teachers who would like to increase their effectiveness at teaching authentic science in their classrooms.
