GreenPrize

Be an eco-champion and make the world a greener place with GreenPrize!

The Detroit Zoological Society invites student groups from Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties to join the GreenPrize Award Program, encouraging them to establish “EcoClubs” or “Green Teams.” This program empowers students to lead projects in their schools or communities that benefit the planet and the environment.

How does it work?

GreenPrize is open to all interested EcoClubs and Green Teams made up of fifth- through 12th-grade students in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
Teams must have a staff or faculty adviser.

Step 1:

You’ve created your project, and we can’t wait to see it! We’ll look to see how your project impacts the environment and your community. We’ll check on the research you’ve done and how your project will live on for years to come.

Once that’s done, successful teams will get a prize to go toward their project.

Step 2:

It’s time to show us what you’re made of! During step two of the GreenPrize project, your team will submit examples of the work you’ve done to take care of your planet and community.
