Together with host 99.5 WYCD, we are excited to welcome rising country music star Hannah Ellis to perform at the Detroit Zoo on Aug. 6! When you purchase a ticket to this Detroit Zoo 95th anniversary event, you will experience the Zoo in the early evening hours and enjoy some terrific tunes in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Opening act and metro Detroit native Louie Lee takes the stage at the Main Picnic Grove at 6:30 p.m., followed by a performance from Hannah Ellis at 8 p.m.

  • Can I bring my own food/picnic?

    Yes, you can bring in your own food, non-alcoholic beverages and a small cooler. Grilling on Zoo grounds is prohibited. We have many picnic tables throughout the Zoo for guest use, some of which are under tents. Feel free to sit at any that are not reserved.

  • Can I bring my own chairs/blanket

    Yes, blankets and foldable chairs are allowed. Lower profile chairs are preferred in support of a positive viewing experience for all guests.
