Yoga at the Zoo
The Detroit Zoo is going Zen with Yoga at the Zoo. Grab your mat, fill your reusable water bottle and get ready to relax while mastering a variety of new poses, led by one of our certified instructors. This early morning meditative flow is suitable for all skill levels. Each session highlights a different area of the Zoo and will feature a zookeeper talk, allowing guests the opportunity to hear from our animal care staff. In-person sessions start before the Zoo opens to the public and include Zoo admission and parking.
In accordance with Michigan state orders, all participants — unless otherwise prevented by a medical condition — are required to wear a mask in crowded outdoor spaces. You can read our full safety guidelines at detroitzoo.org/health.
Yoga sessions are coed and limited to guests ages 13 years and older. Guests under the age of 18 require parental consent to participate. Guests must be at least 16 years old to attend without a parent or guardian. Guests must sign a waiver prior to participating.
Advance ticket purchase is required as space is limited and the event may sell out.
New this year! This class is also available virtually! Follow along from the comfort of your home.
Yoga at the Zoo is a rain or shine event. The rain location will be the Events Pavilion, located next to the Ford Education Center.
