Zoo Tots at School (Africa)

Zoo Tots at School is a self-guided adventure designed for young children. Activities can be completed with your class in your classroom, from the students’ homes — or during a visit to the Detroit Zoo! In this class, Ms. Barbie reads Starry Safari, Mr. Brad takes us on a hike to see lions and zebras, and Ms. Zahraa shows us how to decorate a bucket hat.After the virtual content has been completed, you can schedule a live 20-minute sharing session with an education staff member. During this session, students can ask questions and share what they have created and explored!

Materials packets are available for purchase for $5 per student. Each packet contains the items needed to make one craft, one egg shaker and a collectible Get Outside! Card, which highlights an outdoor activity.

After registration, links to virtual content will be sent through email. Materials packets will be available for pick up at the Zoo starting two weeks after purchase. Shipping to one location is available for an additional fee of $21.10, for up to 20 students.
